Kate Schwendinger

Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with her Master's degree from Missouri State University.  Kate has worked with individuals, families and groups in both direct practice as well as in a community setting.  She has had the opportunity to work with a variety of concerns some of which include depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, PTSD as well as issues and concerns specific to the LGBTQ community.  

She specializes in working with those who have experienced or are experiencing trauma or adjustment issues, behavior issues, abuse and neglect as well as parenting education.  Kate excels in working with the teenage population. 

 

Kate's goal is to provide warm, evidenced based practice to ease symptoms of mental illness, trauma and maladjustment.  Kate began her career in counseling with the mission of de-stigmatizing mental health issues and provides her patients with the safe and nurturing environment to help them not only heal, but to learn how to change their thinking to improve their lives.
